Pennsylvania: Teacher Killed in Dump Truck Accident

A Philadelphia kindergarten teacher was killed in an accident when her sub compact car was struck by dump truck. Another driver was also injured. Witnesses said the sub compact drifted into oncoming traffic moments before the accident. The dump truck driver said he did not have enough time to react because he did not see the sub compact until he reached the top of the hill. The drivers tried to swerve away from each other but still could not avert the crash.

The Barren Hill fire department pulled the 32-year-old victim out of her crumpled vehicle; she was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner. Police are working with the Montgomery County District Attorney's office to investigate the crash.

The reason is still unclear as to why the victim drove into oncoming traffic. It could take up to three weeks for toxicology test results to come back from the lab and determining what caused the accident may take awhile.
