Philadelphia personal injury lawyer Joel Feldman has been pushing for a stop for pedestrians in the crosswalks law since his 21 year old daughter Casey died while crossing the street in summer 2009.
She was hit by a distracted driver.
The new state law which went into effect on April 1, 2010 requires drivers to stop for pedestrians, as opposed to yield to pedestrians.
